Roof Cleaning Sunshine Coast

We often don’t think of our roofs until they fail us in some way, either through leaks or by being ripped off in a big storm.

But your roof is one of the most important parts of your home, and it is definitely one of the most expensive. It is the thing that takes the brunt of the elements, because it is the most exposed.

It is out there in the blistering heat and the driving rain, continually standing up to the pressures our climates and environment through at it.

But your roof is not a set-it-and-forget-it type of thing. It requires upkeep to keep it going strong, and part of that upkeep is cleaning away the dirt and debris, mould and mildew, algae, lichen and moss that form over the years.

Stuff like lichen can get deep into your roofing tiles and damage them, moss can fill up with water like a sponge, adding unbalanced weight to your roof, and not allowing rain to flow from to the gutters naturally. Over time all of these pressures can cause problems within the tiles, or rotting in the roof itself, causing water damage to get inside your house.

Not to mention the simple fact that a dirty, gunky roof really doesn’t make your house look inviting, thereby lowering the cost of your property.

Because we don’t often think about our roofs, we don’t know these problems are happening above our heads until the leaks appear, and by then, the only option might be to replace or restore the roof. This will be very expensive, and could have been prevented by a good clean every now and then.

At SC Pressure Cleaning, no job is too big or too small, and our contractors are adaptable to your requirements.

Is High Pressure Cleaning Suitable For All Roof Types?

roof pressure washing Sunshine Coast

Not all roofs are created equal, and so not all cleaning jobs can be undertaken in the same way. High Pressure Cleaning may cause collateral damage to more delicate roofing structure.

It also requires more time and effort by our contractors, to lug around heavy equipment up and door the ladders to your roof … not to mention, it can be pretty slippery up there.

As is the case with house washing, the requirements of each roofing job will be determined individually, and if it is determined that High Pressure Cleaning is not suitable or not safe, we will perform a Soft Wash.

A Soft Wash uses environmentally friendly chemicals to break down the dirt, dust, lichen and other such gunk, while a final water clean on low pressure will finish the job.

All of this is completely safe to you, your family, your pets, the environment and the roof itself. A soft wash is not inferior to a High Pressure Clean, and in many circumstances, is actually superior.

Whatever the requirement, our roof cleaning Sunshine Coast expert contractors are experienced and adaptable. Call us today for a free quote.
